PANHANDLE SOCCER
ROAD TO PRO ACADEMY
Developing Players. Developing People. Building the Future.

Our Mission

  • At Panhandle Soccer Road to Pro, our mission is to provide student-athletes with an environment where academic excellence, elite soccer development, character, and personal growth come together.

  • We believe young athletes should not have to choose between pursuing their soccer dreams and receiving a quality education. Our homeschool program is designed to give players the structure, flexibility, and support they need to succeed both in the classroom and on the field.

  • Through purposeful training, individualized academic support, competitive opportunities, and daily mentorship, we strive to develop disciplined, confident, responsible, and resilient young people who are prepared for the next level of soccer and, more importantly, for life beyond the game.

  • Our goal is simple:

  • Develop the player. Educate the student. Build the person. Prepare for the future.

Meet Our Team

Founder & Coaching Director

Ryan Goldsmith

Ryan represented the Republic of Ireland at the underage international level, earning 14 international caps.

Following his international experience, Ryan continued his playing career at the professional level with Cobh Ramblers, gaining firsthand experience in a professional football.

Ryan went on to compete in NCAA Division I soccer at California State University, Bakersfield, where he continued to develop as a player while competing against some of the highest-level collegiate programs in the United States.

"Our goal isn't simply to create better soccer players. It's to develop better people who are prepared to succeed wherever life takes them." - Coach Ryan

Co-Founder

Jake McClelland

Originally from Central Ohio, Jake moved to Pensacola in 2016 where he played 4 years of soccer at Pensacola Christian College while earning his Bachelor’s in Marketing and Finance.

During his time at PCC he won two national championships with his team as well as NCCAA National Player of the year honors during his Senior year. Jake is also the leading goal scorer and points scorer in the history of the soccer program.

Jake co-founded Panhandle Soccer shortly after graduating and has been working with young people to develop their skills through private coaching, summer camps, and futsal training.

Jake’s coaching philosophy emphasizes personal development and accountability on and off the field. He believes life is bigger than soccer and hopes to develop future leaders through sport!
